Some Mafia Wars players think they know the game, but it takes ages for them to level up. They know the features, they think they know the strategies and secrets, but when it comes down to it, they just don’t know how to advance and succeed in Mafia Wars. Some strategies most people will know, others are so simple they’re deadly because everybody overlooks them.

Here are 4 secrets that will help you make wise decisions and level up quickly in Mafia Wars:

1. Want to level up like a maniac? Start off by playing with the maniac class and you will level up very quickly and very easily. Leveling up early is crucial to your success in the game. In maniac class you’ll be able to get energy a lot quicker than in other areas, and energy is exactly what you need to move fast. Starting off in the maniac class will set you up for success.

2. Be smart with your money. Don’t blow your hard earned money on items and properties that will not give you a reward. It’s not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere, somewhere that will actually give you some money back. Anything else doesn’t even deserve your consideration. Invest your money into properties that will give you a financial return, then reinvest that money into other areas as well. Also, invest your money into top quality weapons so you can get rid of your enemies.

3. Don’t expect to grow a mafia too early. You have to earn your reputation. You have to prove yourself first before anyone will even think about joining your family. Why would they? When you’re starting out you’re unproven and untested, why would anybody want to join your family? Earn their respect and their trust first by doing work and building yourself up through good investments, then once you’ve got a reputation as a player, that’s when your mafia will form.

4. Expose yourself too early, and you will be in trouble. Similar to the previous tip, don’t let everybody know you’re on the scene when you’re still an unproven new guy. Nobody likes a new guy making too much noise. Stay under the radar and do your work until you grow your reputation and people start recognizing you. If you’re at a lower level and you want to run with the big boys, they will beat you down so that you stay at that level.

You need to be wise in Mafia Wars. Take your time and earn your reputation. Nobody’s going to give it to you.
