Mafia Wars can throw at you numerous challenges on your quest to become top Godfather. While you’re trying to earn more money through jobs and investments, and grow your Mafia family, there are often times where you will have to get certain items in order to complete a mission. These loot items are usually rare and valuable items, and you will usually need to have a certain number of them to complete a mission.

Some of the most commonly wanted loot items are the Untraceable Cell Phone, Concealable Camera, and a wiretap device. These, and many other loot items, are accessible at different stages of the game, but there are some common strategies you can follow to get as many as you need.

The easiest way to get the concealable weapon or untraceable cell phone is to complete the “Rob an Electronics Store” job in the Enforcer tier. The job doesn’t take much to complete, which is why it’s easy, but the downside to this is that you are randomly given one of 3 loot items when you complete the job – the third being computer setups. So even if you complete the job 100 times, there’s still a chance you won’t get the item that you want. On the other hand, you can also end up with 100 concealable cameras.

Another way you can get items you need is to do a trade with other Mafia Wars players. Now obviously you need to give something up as well in order for a trade to work. What you can do is to make a post saying you need a certain item and that you will offer something fair in return. This usually works with the higher level players who no longer need what you’re looking for. This works much better if you have a larger Mafia, as you will also have a better chance of having something that the other person would want in a trade. Following on from the previous tip, you can also just ask other Mafia Wars players to send you a loot item as a gift. When you log in to Mafia Wars sometimes you’ll be able to see a “Send Free Gifts To Your Mafia” screen. Simply ask your Mafia members to send you something you want if they see that screen, and one of the items that is available to be given as a free gift is the Untraceable Cell Phone.

One more common way to pick up loot items is to have a fight with rival Mafia families. After you win a fight you will usually be able to pick up randomly dropped items and often you will be able to get something you need. The key to this strategy is to pick a fight with a rival who you know you can beat. Go after Mafia families that are smaller than yours, and who have less powerful weapons than you do. This will ensure you are able to beat them up easily. Once you beat them, take advantage of that and keep beating up on them. You will continue to win and be able to pick up even more dropped items. You will eventually run out of stamina or lose, and that’s when you can just move on. But while you are on top, take advantage of them as much as you can.
